If the inspector finds evidence of termites, you have several options to choose from,
depending on the type of termite and degree of infestation.
We have a knowledgeable staff and we are ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE!!
For Drywood Termites
Drywood termites infest directly into dry wood, including structural lumber, as well as dead limbs of native trees, fences, posts, and lumber in storage. Multiple colonies can infest the same building. Depending on degree of infestation, fumigation or local/spot treatment(s) is necessary.
Whole House Treatment
Fumigation is one of the current methods for whole eradication of drywood termites. You will be required to stay out of the house for a minimum of three days and two nights. You must remove all pets, plants, food, and medicines (unless sealed ). Gas service is turned off during the fumigation process.
Borate Mineral Salt Foam Treatments
Using Tim-Bor or Bora-Care, a natural Borate Mineral Salt product applied using a foaming machine that will provide a treatment that will kill active infestations and will control any future invasions. This is a product that is absorbed by the wood members in attics, sub areas, wall voids, garage framings, etc., and provides protection for the life of the wood. The Mineral Salt also helps protect against FUNGUS and DRYROT.
Local or Spot Control
Local or spot control methods include the use of pesticides and/or the removal and replacement of infested timbers. These methods are intended to remove or kill termites only in the specific targeted areas, leaving the possibility of other undetected infestations within the structure. These treatments are not designed for whole house eradications. Local or spot treatment involves drilling and injecting pesticides into infested timbers and/or removal. Annual inspections are recommended, and annual control service plans are available.
For Subterranean Termites
Subterranean termites require moist conditions and usually nest in the soil. They maintain contact with the soil through tunnels inside wood and through shelter tubes they construct. Multiple colonies can infest the same building. They require treatment to the soil control of subterranean termites. Eliminating conditions that promote attack, such as wood in contact with soil and excessive moisture conditions is always recommended.
Recently introduced chemicals are now available that are less toxic to humans and pets but are highly toxic to insects and we PROUDLY offer these products in our services.
